BREAKING NEWS: 14 People Injured after car deliberately ploughed into pedestrians outside Flinders Street station in Melbourne Australia leaving several critically injured
A preschool-aged child is amongst 14 people who were injured today after a white Suzuki SUV deliberately drove into crowds outside Flinders Street station around 4.30pm in Australia (5.30am GMT).
The scene was one of horror with people sent flying and of the 14 people injured , several are critical. Australian police have arrested two people in connection with the incident which police say was a deliberate act but can not say at the moment that it was a terrorist incident and its too early to know the motive.
The city has been placed under lock down and there are police and security around, now on high alert. More news to follow. By Sibusiso Ngwenya
